I've installed it on my laptop since I don't use it much. So far it's okay (why is border color customization disabled? x.x), but I really love the win10 background. One of the best os backgrounds yet.

So you'd have 3 names - the server, client, and game engine?

Is anyone opposed to keep using "Aura Project" for the organization and this site? I've realized that "Aura Project" != "Aura". Aura Project is the name of our organization, and our "flagship" product was Aura, but just because we can't work on Aura anymore doesn't mean we have rename the "company". Only the client and server need a new name.
Shouldn't the client and server be the same name?

It's nice to have, but it was poorly done. A lot of the times you get stuck for no reason.. you have to use the mouse in those instances.

I assume regular dyes are only there to rip off the players. However, I don't know if players should be able to get any color they want easily... the hunt for the correct fixed dyes kinda has become a part of the game^^
Well, having fixed dyes for every single color just isn't going to happen. So I would just keep what I said above, but make dye amps harder to get.

Funny I just got a straw hat from fishing with that GM bait.

So... has anyone upgraded yet? I'm gonna hold off for a while. Let all the bugs and compatibility problems get fixed first.

This isn't a bad idea. However, releasing an item only a few times makes it rare, which causes high price. And from that, people will play the game longer to earn enough and buy it. Without limited time items, everything would be low priced and there wouldn't be much effort. As DeleteIT mention in the chat last night, people who are attached to their character ingame are more likely to play the game. If you have a rare item, you want show it off. Not only that, but you feel like "oh I got a rare item that not many others have", and I feel like it makes you play more (is it just me?). It all kinda connects, if you get what I'm saying. (such gr8 marketing techniques)
However, if you have as many items as Mabi does, that's gonna take a lot of time and effort. But, the rarer the item, the lower the success rate and harder obtained materials. Once again, it gets people playing more to keep trying to make that item. Both methods work, you just gotta look at the pros and cons of each side.

Why are dye amps there? I like dye amps, just make it 100% to get the color you want. And probably make more dye pallets to include more colors.

I like Eos, and it's a kind of a reference to Aura as well^^ For clarification, this would be the overall code name for our game engine and the GitHub organization.
So then what will the actual game be called?

YES FARTSPARKLES IS PERFECT <3
Ehm.. we could go with "Mabinagi" hehehehe.... I suck at coming up with names.

Bring out the polls!

I don't have any suggestions myself, but if I had to pick one or the other, I suppose I'd chose unity.
-
It's a hard pick for me. I don't really like unity or C++
-
Yeah, probably a 2d. Now that you explained it, I see how mabi is 2D. You should open up some polls so we can vote

I kinda like that art style for characters (no stiff hair or capes), though the world itself looks kinda meh. Make it look animu as much as we can :3
-
We'll basically just look at mabi and improve it. Every aspect.

In that case .NET in general will probably be a safe bet, because the chances that I'll choose C# for a new project are very high. You could actually write scripts in VB.NET in Aura, although nobody ever used or really tested that feature
If I was aware of this, I would have tried
Windows 10
